Absolutely no contest this week!

I heard this track on Above & Beyond's 'Trance Around the World' Podcast and out of the whole two hour show, it was the seven minutes of this song that grabbed my attention.

This track comes from Purple Haze with the support of trance giant Sander van Doorn. He teamed up with Robbie Williams at the start of the year to create the commercial but catchy 'Close My Eyes.'

Although 'Bliksem' will not be as prominent as 'Close My Eyes' it is an absolute bomb of a trance tune - one that I will still be endulging in for years to come.

The likes of Ferry Corsten's 'Made of Love,' Gareth Emery's 'Exposure' and Calvin Harris' 'I'm Not Alone' have taken trance to exciting heights this year but 'Bliksem' is undoubtedly set to be up there and one of the greatest smashes of the year - in my world anyway!

Meaning 'thunder' in Dutch, 'Bliksem' is a devastating seven-minute storm!

John O'Callaghan has established himself on the trance seen in the past few years. He made a breakthrough in 2007 with 'Big Sky' which featured Audrey Gallagher and went from strength to strength ever since.

'Find Yourself' has been featured for a long time by Trance giants Armin van Buuren and Gareth Emery on their respective podcasts and DJ sets, but was finally released officially on Monday. O'Callaghan is playing at the Sunrise Festival in Poland (last weeks 'Tune of the Week' is the official anthem for this event.)

It is the second single to be released from his latest LP 'Never Fade Away,' which was released earlier this year.

Rank 1 are on top form this year. Having already secured this year's Trance Energy anthem with their last release 'L.E.D There Be Light,' their new EP 'Symfo' is the new Sunrise Festival Theme - and more importantly: another belter!

Rank 1 have been around since 1999 when they released their massive debut single 'Airwave,' which was recently featured in Tiësto's Club Life as his 'Classic' track.

'Symfo' is yet another stunner from Marinus De Goeij and Pieter Bervoets, brought to you by High Contrast Recordings.

As weeks tune comes courtesy of Coldharbour Recordings, it is no surprise that it's a great example of this year's vocal trance.

This is the debut release from Khaz & Boris M.D, but they have already been recognised by trance giants Above & Beyond with this song being played on their weekly podcast 'Trance Around The World.'
